Spot Color Printing
A spot color is a specially mixed ink used in printing. Spot color inks come in a rainbow of colors, including some specialty inks such as metallic or fluorescent. Unlike CMYK/(4 Color Process), Spot Colors are pre-mixed and you use one ink for each color on the article.
There are different brands of Spot Color inks and the colors are often different in color and or name. In the United States, the dominant spot color printing system is PANTONE. The Pantone Matching System or PMS consists of over 1,000 colors of ink.

4 Color Process
To reproduce full-color photographic images, typical printing presses use 4 colors of ink. The four inks are placed in layers of dots (garnet shading) that combine to create the illusion of many more colors.
CMYK refers to the 4 ink colors used by the printing press. C is cyan (blue), M is magenta (red), Y is yellow, and K is black.
A mistake often made when submitting artwork for 4-color printing is not converting the images to the CMYK color space. This is needed so that the art can be separated into the four colors so that a separate printing screen can be made for each of the colors.

Simulated Process
Simulated Process extends the 4 Color Process color range by inserting a screen layer using the Spot Color method. Blending the two techniques of Spot Color Printing, and the 4 Color Process. This allows for brighter or darker enhanced images, as well as allowing for fluorescents inks and gold or silver flakes to be added.

Specialty Printing
In today’s ever advancing world we at Fox Screen Print have embraced new technologies. This has lead us into the new age in printing for the textile industry.
With Specialty Printing we can use advance techniques such as: Foils, Flocking, Glowing Inks, Glitters, Caviar (Beads, Decorative flakes, and Crystal Chips).
Using High Density Inks and Puffing Technology we have brought printing into the 3rd Dimension. This allows the art to have depth, texture and unique feel.

Flocking
Flocking is the process of statically charging fibers and imbedding them onto the surface of a garment giving a soft look and feel. Flocking has varying length in fibers and may be used in conjunction with a variety of other printing techniques.

Foils
Foils can be applied after the printing process to add a glimmer or shine to the garment. They can be applied in a wide range of colors.

Caviar
Caviar is the beading, lying of Crystal chips, and decorative flacks on the garment. This can be used with a variety of other printing techniques.
